I sometimes wonder what I would cook every night if it weren’t for Pinterest. I mean, really. I love finding new things to make each week, and I haven’t been let down by many of them. When I find what looks like a delicious meal and it only takes 30 minutes to make, that’s getting repinned for sure. This Sriracha Chicken and Broccoli Lo Mein looked scrumptious. Only 30 minutes to make, you say? Fantastic!


While this dinner was just as scrumptious as I had hoped, it took me a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes to make it. I don’t mind if a recipe takes a little longer than expected, but that’s a little much. The other problem? My kitchen was a disaster area afterwards. You need two pots and two pans for this baby, not to mention the bowls you need for making the two separate sauces.

My final verdict? This was a very tasty dish, but don’t expect it to take you 30 minutes to make it. I’ll add this to my “Delicious but Takes a Lot of Effort” dinner list. We’ll see if it makes it onto the dinner menu again.

I actually decided to give myself about 45 minutes to make this because I was skeptical of the 30 minute estimate just after reading through the steps.

On a different note, I’ve decided to finally implement a suggestion one of my fantastic readers brought to me months ago. I am going to begin rating the pins that I try. I’ll give this recipe a rating for taste as well as prep.
