Day 310 – DIY Sweater Socks

{4 Comments}

I have a confession. I love my leggings. I honestly didn’t think I would ever say that. I thought I was too old for the leggings trend. When you are pregnant though, they are pretty much the most comfortable things that are socially acceptable to wear in public. I had been thinking about buying a cute pair of boots for a while, but I knew I would definitely need them this winter to keep my legs warm in those leggings. I could have bought some cute sweater socks to go with them, but why buy them when you can make your own?!

All you need is an old sweater and some scissors. I knew I was holding on to my old sweaters for a reason. Just cut the sleeves off and you are on your way. You’ll want to hem the raw edges so they don’t unravel, or you can use a hot glue gun if you don’t have a sewing machine like me. If you don’t have any sweaters you are willing to part with, check out Goodwill!

  1. ok, now I want to know where you found those cute boots!

  2. Awesome! I have a question. How do you decide what pins to do? Is there a system or did you choose them before starting this?

    • I don’t have much of a system. I like to plan out my week just so I know what I need to buy for recipes and crafts. Sometimes I’ll try a pin the day after I find it though. You just never know!
