As many of you know, I love my Mexican food. I use a lot of taco seasoning, but that stuff is loaded with all kinds of unnecessary ingredients. Why not make your own?

Ingredients:
- 1 part chili powder
- 1 part ground cumin
- 1 part garlic powder
- 1 part onion powder
- 1/4 – 1/2 part crushed red pepper
Directions:
Combine all ingredients and store in an airtight container.
I didn’t make a huge batch of this because it’s so easy to throw together when you need it. I’m so happy I found this. I always buy the reduced sodium taco seasoning, but that stuff is still loaded with sodium. I used this in my favorite Taco Chili recipe and it was delicious.

This sounds great! But, how much do you use with every recipe? Because, usually, when you buy the packets, it says “One packet to X amount of water”. Just curious
I actually just eyeballed it. I threw in about as much I would expect to get out of a packet.
