I have already made one version of tub paints for the little man, and he loved them. I saw this pin featuring a different method and decided to give it a shot. I already had all of the materials on hand, so you probably will too.
1. Combine 4-6 pumps (about 1/8 cup) of baby shampoo with a tablespoon of cornstarch. The directions suggest adding a teaspoon or two of water as well. I don’t recommend this. You don’t need it, and it just makes it runny.
2. Divide your mixture between a few small containers. A muffin tin or ice cube tray work well. Add food coloring as desired. One drop is really all you need.
As I mentioned, the directions suggested adding water to the mixture. I have no idea why. The first time I made it, I followed the directions exactly and the paint was really runny. I tried it again the next night and left out the water. It was perfect!
I think I like this paint better than the Shaving Cream Tub Paint I tried. It still provides the same amount of entertainment and the little man didn’t smell like a man afterwards. He smelled like a baby, as he should.
