If you are looking for a quick and easy way to make your own snack bars, then I have the recipe for you!
These Chocolate Peanut Butter & Oat Bars were super easy to make and they were so good that they barely lasted the afternoon in my house.
You will need:
2 Tbsp Chocolate Chips
2 Tbsp Peanut Butter
2 Tbsp Milk
1/2 Cup Oats
Melt the first three ingredients together in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring and checking.
Then add the oats and stir to combine.
Press the mixture into bars. I was able to get three small bars out of my mixture.
Put a piece of parchment paper on the bottom of a plastic container and line your bars along the bottom.
Put them in the fridge or freezer for about 10 minutes.
What I like most about this recipe is that you can really adapt it and make it your own. I made another batch using Nutella instead of chocolate. (Yum!) I also made one with only peanut butter for the little man of the house. He loved them! You can also add things like coconut shavings, nuts, or raisins for a little something extra.
These will definitely be making another appearance in my house again soon.
